Waste Management and Environmental Policy

Nuglas is justifiably proud of its environmental record. We have a sustainable environmental policy that commits us to:

• Recycle and re-use waste products
• Reduce energy and water use
• Regularly review environmental legislation to be absolutely certain of compliance
• Monitor our energy consumption and utilize the data to help reduce environmental impact
• Constantly review how we use our vehicles to lessen mileage

It is true to say that a culture of environmental awareness runs throughout Nuglas. From simple water saving systems to the way we plan our vehicle routes, we always try to reduce our environmental footprint, whilst offering products and services that are of the very highest standard.

The heating system at Nuglas is fuelled entirely with waste timber and provides all the heating and water for all the offices throughout the year

All building waste is collected and rendered down to provide suitable material for foundations of new building projects

Old metal window frames are sent for scrap where they will be melted down and re-used

Whilst upvc offcut material is minimised, it is all sent for recycling
